Dispose of your used insulin cartridges & disposable insulin delivery devices safely into a yellow plastic sharps container.

Always remove the needle first and place into a sharps or sealed puncture resistant container (not glass), with a screw on lid before disposing of the device. Take the sealed container to your local pharmacy or local hospital who may be able to dispose of it for you.

The Consumer Medicine Information (CMI) for GlucaGen® HypoKit states, “GlucaGen® HypoKit should be stored at room temperature (i.e. less than 25°C). Avoid freezing to prevent damage to the glass syringe.”

It is preferred that GlucaGen® HypoKit be stored at room temp (below 25°C) because cold fluids tend to sting more when injected but refrigerating the product will not damage it. If refrigerated storage is used, be careful not to freeze the product as this may cause damage to the glass syringe which may compromise the sterility of the water for injection.
