NovoPen® 6 is a smart1 insulin pen, used to inject Novo Nordisk Penfill® insulins.
NovoPen® 6 is a reusable pen. When you have used all the insulin in a cartridge, simply replace the cartridge with a new one.
What makes NovoPen® 6 ‘smart’1 is its
connectivity functionality, which uses near-field communication (NFC)
technology to connect with a compatible companion app on a smart
device. This also allows you to store, access, and share your insulin
injection history with your healthcare provider, which can help them
support personalised treatment for you.
Moreover, in
combination with a compatible app these smart1 insulin pens
can provide insights into your injection habits, which might help you
understand your injection behaviour better and learn from them.
Finally, some compatible companion apps also show blood glucose
data from continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) or blood glucose
monitoring (BGM) devices, such as visualising insulin levels and blood
glucose levels together.
